WILD THINGS
Ryan
Ryan started out the 2024 season with a bang when he traded Trea Turner & Juan Soto for a return of Spencer Jones, Junior Caminero and a total of $38. With a 1-9 record heading into the second half of the 2024 TEA season, Ryan will continue to study the waiver wire (leading all of TEA with 93 moves at the time of writing) to bolster his chances for the 2025 season.

SAC FLY'S
Jared
1
J-Rod joined shortly after the 2024 auction when Adam decided he couldn't hang with the big boys any longer. Jared has been able to put together a 3-7 record with the team Adam left behind. Will Jared continue to fend off the swarming sharks of TEA and make a run for 6th place or will he finally sell off some of his bigger pieces, such as Gerrit Cole (who is in the middle of his rehab assignment), to start prepping for the 2025 season?

BACKDOOR SLIDERS
Brock
4
Mookie Betts has been everything as advertised, unlike Brock. Falling from 6th in our preseason ranking to 10th in our midseason ranking, this is not how Mr. Reynolds envisioned how his 2024 season would go. Unlike 2023, Brock has been holding on to his players, in hopes things will turn around (although news flash, George Springer sucks!). Does this show other TEA members that 2022 was just a fluke when he finished secon? Will Brock sell off for another year or will he buy to prove TEA members that he means business?

FISHING FOR TATERS

So far Lav's plan of keeping steady with his guys from 2023 hasn't panned out. It has been much like his 2023 results (finished in 10th in 2023). However, Lav has ran into a little bit of bad luck with having the most points against so far. To put this in perspective, Lav has had 7,673.29 points against so far this year, where Quinn has had the least amount of points against at 6,563.24, a 1,110.05 point difference! 1,110.05 is well above a week average for points. Will sexy Lav make his first ever TEA trade (according to Ryan) or remain loyal to his guys?

RUSTCHMAN'S BURGER BAR
Jesse
1
As mentioned in the 2024 preseason ranking, it was boom or bust for Jesse with his statcast darlings. Jesse seems to have the pitching, now it's time for his batters to step up and do what they are capable of. Will Jesse be content missing the playoffs yet again or will he join the race for that last playoff spot? The majority of folks could be buying!

GOATANI
Brandon
3
Down 3 spots from the 2024 preseason ranking, Brandon "Dino" Williams has managed a 5-5 record through the first half (dropping the last 3 matchups), and is 8th in points for. Recent moves by Dino would suggest he is in the middle of retooling his roster and has lost sight of defending his title in the 2024 season. Was 2023 a fluke?

ALTUVE'S BUZZER BEATERS
Dane
5
One of the biggest jumps in our midseason ranking is Altuve's Buzzer Beaters! Despite losing star Mike Trout early on, Dane is in the hunt with a 5-5 record going into the second half. Dane has Jarren Duran (5.98 pt season avg) to thank for keeping Altuve's Buzzer Beaters afloat. Will the potential return of Mike Trout, as well as the plethora of injured arms, push Dane over the top to secure a playoff spot?

WAMCO
Steven
It is business as usual for Steven Thomas Sedore (6-4), who has maintained his ranking by winning (and losing) some trades in the 2024 season. By far his best trade yet has been the acquisition of Juan Soto (for Spencer Jones & $20). Unfortunately, two weeks later, Mr. Sedore traded a potential NL ROY candidate by shipping off Shota Imanaga for teammate Dansby Swanson (who was then later flipped for Bo Bichette). It seems like Daddy Sedore has everything he needs to put together a strong playoff push in the second half.

DESIGNATED SHITTERS
Josh
5
Mr. Arny joins Dane in the biggest surprises of the first half. Although, Arny may have the title of biggest surprise given his track record. Joshua Malcolm Fredrick Arnold has managed a 7-3 start to his 2024 season and hasn't been shy when making moves (only $213 of 2025 auction money remaining at the time of writing)! $30 for Harper has been one of the most expensive deals in TEA history. Combine all the bold moves with the call up of Paul Skenes, resurgence of Chris Sale, and CY Young performance of Tarik Skubal, Arny has become a threat in TEA! Can Arny keep it up and lock up a playoff spot for the first time since... ever?

MOUSTACHE STRIDER
Quinn
1
Perhaps the sneakiest manager of them all, Mr. Abram finds himself back one spot in the 2024 midseason ranking. However, I don't believe this is a knock on Quinn's team as he is locked & loaded going into the second half. Quinn has managed a 7-3 recored, second in points for (7,792.54), second most auction money ($295), and the second most FAAB ($74) out of current playoff teams.
2
CEASE AND DESIST
Tanner
1
Tan started the 2024 season with a bang on March 29th when he acquired the 2023 unanimous NL MVP Ronald Acuña Jr for a record breaking $40 (plus James Wood)! Unfortunately a few weeks ago, it was announced that Acuna was out for season with torn left ACL. However, that hasn't stopped Tan man from trying to get back on top. Tan has been aggressively adding to his young core, which has resulted in $204 of 2025 auction money remaining. But, I guess that can happen when Bobby Witt, Julio Rodriguez & Gunnar Henderson will combine to cost Tan a measly $46 next season.

KIRBY'S DREAMLAND
Morgan
Remaining unchanged from preseason to midseason rankings, Morgan finds himself at 1 still, but for how much longer? This roster screams "all in" as it may be the most expensive roster in all of TEA. Luckily the injury bug hasn't bitten Kirby's Dreamland too badly which may have contributed to him scoring the most points for in the first half (8,033.82 pts). Surely Morgan will be all ears as the deadline approaches. Ttc!,;xo<3
