BACKDOOR SLIDERS
Brock
Not much changed in the second half for the Backdoor Sliders. A few trades here and there but the damage was already done in the first half when Backdoor Sliders traded Judge, Goldschmidt, etc. Will Backdoor Sliders be able to spend all his cash ($366 before keepers) in the 2024 auction? He entered the 2023 auction with less cash ($253 before keepers) and still left money on the table.

VLADDY'S BATTIES
Dane
+1
2024 could be a big year for Vladdy's Batties. After the All-Star break, Vladdy's Batties had a positive record by going 5-3. Dane has already started to put his pile of cash to good use by acquiring players such as Jacob DeGrom, Mike Trout & Marcus Semien. With $304 before keepers entering the 2024 auction, Vladdy's Batties is looking to improve upon his rookie year in Touch 'Em All.

FISHING FOR TATERS
Sexy Lav
- 1
We didn't see much trade action from Sexy Lav in 2023. Believing in the core of his team (Nola, Wheeler, Ryan), Lav stayed put for majority of the year with tweaks here and there. Is the core strong enough to be able to supplement with just $261 before keepers?

BUDS N BLUE JAYS
Jesse
- 1
Buds N Blue Jays didn't see much luck in 2023. 6th in points for, Jesse missed the playoffs by 4 wins due to having the most points against. Looking ahead to 2024, Buds N Blue Jays were looking to acquire young controllable talent rather than $ for the 2024 auction. One of the biggest fish he landed was Tampa Bay Rays All-Star, Wander Franco. Unfortunately a week or two later, Wander was put on administrative leave by MLB due to an investigation involving a minor. Will Wander see the field again or did Jesse just give Corbin Burnes away?

DESIGNATED SHITTERS
Josh
+2
Joshua put together a good attempt in 2023 but just fell short (10-10 record finishing 7th). One of the most interesting (but minor) trades for the Designated Shitters was trading his FAAB money then getting out streamed in a pivotal matchup in week 19 vs. GallensOfFun. Maybe he can win the toilet bowl! Will the Designated Shitters build off an improved 2023 season or will he go back to his old ways?

WAMCO
Steven
- 2
Surprisingly down 2 spots, WAMCO comes in at #7. WAMCO sold off early in 2023 despite having a competitive team. WAMCO has been able to build a competitive affordable team that should be sustainable for years to come. It appears the franchise tag could be used on Yordan Alvarez which would leave WAMCO the ability to spend big on the few roster spots that remain during the 2024 auction.

ADAM'S TEAM
Adam
Despite battling starting pitching injuries all season long, Adam's Team was able to squeeze into the playoffs in the last week of the season (week 20). Mostly staying put at the deadline, is Adam's Team able to stay healthy enough to go on a run in the playoffs, just like he did in 2021?

GALLENSOFFUN
Ryan
- 1
GallensOfFun has two mortgages on the house going for the W in 2023. GallensOfFun enters the 2024 season with $156 before keepers, the lowest amount Touch 'Em All has ever seen. Ryan acquired two top 10 players in Mookie Betts & Juan Soto during the season to complement Ronald Acuna Jr. Is the all-in approach going to pay off?
4
QUINN BASEBALL TEAM
Quinn
+3
Quinn was the most active manager during the 2023 trade deadline. During the deadline, Quinn acquired players such as Lindor, Machado, Rodriguez, Hader & Mullins and traded away Soto, Henderson, & Musgrove while managing to acquire money in the process. With arguably the strongest lineup out of all playoff teams & the team that finished with the most K's (1837) during the regular season, Quinn Baseball Team is setup to make a deep run in what is his best fantasy baseball team to date.
3
CEASE AND DESIST
Tanner
- 2
Also surprisingly down 2 spots, Cease and Desist comes in at #3. Cease and Desist made some bold moves throughout the season (trading away Austin Riley, Julio Rodriguez & Mookie Betts). 2nd in total points for, 2nd in the most HRs this season & 12 players in the top 100 for points (as of August 28, 2023), Cease and Desist is still very much a force to be reckoned with.
2
GOATANI
Brandon
1st in total points for, 1st in HR, 2nd in 2B, 1st in SB... I'll stop there. GOATani has put together a marvellous regular season but with recent injuries (Ohtani torn UCL, Bautista UCL, Stroman ribs), does he have enough pitching depth to go on a playoff run? In the last 30 days (as of August 28, 2023), GOATani has 10 players in the top 100 for points, so it seems as though he has enough juice to get bye despite the recent injuries. The week 20 bye should help.
1
BUXTON A NUT
Morgan
+ 2
Buxton A Nut was able to secure 1st place in the regular season ($300 payout) due to having the least amount of points against. That always helps in H2H format. In what seemed like a transition year for Buxton A Nut, Morgan was able to acquire $25 throughout the season towards the 2024 budget ($285 total before keepers) while remaining competitive (15 players in the top 100 as of August 28, 2023). Having lost the final two weeks of the season to non-playoff teams, is Buxton A Nut running out of steam?
