Ryan
Ryan has been a great addition to TEA since joining in 2022. No doubt about it, his strategy out of the gate has been very aggressive focusing on winning now. In 2022 & 2023, Ryan has unfortunately fell short each year finishing in 4th place. As a result, his aggressive strategy has already come back to haunt him in 2024. Entering the 2024 auction, Ryan entered with $29 and 22 roster spots to fill and now rosters a team full of $1 players. With only a few valuable pieces left (Soto - franchise tagged, Turner), Ryan quickly flipped them on March 11th (for Javier, 2 prospects & $38) to regain his competitiveness in 2025. Can Ryan find hidden gems on the waiver wire to accelerate his rebuild?

ALTUVE'S BUZZER BEATERS
Dane
In his second year of TEA, Dane is looking to put guys on notice to let them know he is a serious player. Dane started putting his cash to work late last season when he acquired Mike Trout ($31 - franchise tagged), Jacob DeGrom ($41) and Marcus Semien ($25). While those were some nice pieces of business, unfortunately he cut himself short at the 2024 auction when he left $49 on the table. One anonymous TEA manager said, “I like his team a lot better if Mookie is on his team and he spent $100 on him”. Can Dane recover from his auction fumble and become a competitor in the 2024 season?

ADAM'S TEAM
Adam
The 2024 season hasn’t even started yet and already Adam is facing life or death. On March 11th, the Yankees announced Gerrit Cole ($48) was going for a MRI on his elbow. If it turns out Cole is out for any significant time, Adam could be looking at a disappointing 2024 season. One anonymous TEA manager said, “If Cole is out, this team is a dumpster fire. Ryan might be able to beat him”. A few other notable players who will/could be out… Jordan Montgomery ($12) as of March 12th remains unsigned. Lucas Giolito ($1) has undergone surgery that will keep him out of the 2024 season. Max Scherzer ($20 - franchise tagged) is out until June with his back. Can Adam escape all these injuries to compete in 2024?

Mr. Arny has come a long way over the years. One who used to be the laughing stock of the league has stepped up his game as of late. Just missing the playoffs in 2023 (7th place finish), Arny is hungry to make the playoffs in 2024. Can his pitching propel him to the playoffs? While Arny has some steady pitching in Skubal ($17), Kelly ($13), Gray ($14)… Arny also has a nice mix of high risk high reward pitchers that could determine how his 2024 season goes in Chris Sale ($12) and Shane Baz ($8).

FISHING FOR TATERS

Sexy Lav stood pat in 2023 by hanging onto his prize pieces such as Zack Wheeler ($31), Aaron Nola ($36), Joe Ryan ($16), Jesus Luzardo ($18) to make a run in 2024. After winning the TEA championship in 2020, recent performance shows Sexy Lav has found himself often stuck in the middle of the pack. Can Sexy Lav escape mediocrity and propel his team to a serious contender in 2024?

Statcast darlings. High risk, high reward for Jesse in 2024. Jesse has compiled a fantastic team if everyone stays healthy. However, we know a lot of these guys have had decent injuries in the past. Can Jesse get himself back in the playoffs after taking a few years off (12th in 2022, 8th in 2023)?

BACKDOOR SLIDERS
Brock
The whale of the 2024 auction turned his cash into some nice pieces entering this season. Mookie Betts for $50 could arguably be the best value of the 2024 auction. With 2B, SS, OF eligibility and only $50, Mookie could be a keeper for Brock for years. Mookie aside, Brock added some other great players like Bo Bichette ($26) and Kyle Schwarber ($26). Is it enough to get himself out of the basement to save himself some more harassment in the future?

Steven
Following this… this should mean Sedore finishes top 3 in 2024. Steve is off to a great start before the season even starts by making a huge splash acquiring Juan Soto (franchise tagged) on March 11th for a package consisting of 2 players and $20. Juan Soto and Yordan Alvarez… scary. Match that up with some great young controllable pitching and it does appear Steve should have a great season. We will see!

Can the 2023 TEA Champion make the playoffs in 2024 after losing lots of great talent due to going “all in” in 2023? GOATani still has arguably 3 of the top 5 bats in Ohtani, Freeman (franchise tagged), Olson but can the pitching hold up over the course of a 162 game season?

CEASE AND DESIST
Tanner
After winning the TEA championship in 2022, Tan was gunning for the first ever TEA back-to-back champion in 2023. Despite falling short in 2023, Tan has positioned himself well in 2024 with a well balanced roster to make his way back into the winner’s circle.

MOUSTACHE STRIDER
Quinn
Quinn enters 2024 with hands down the best collection of bats in TEA. If Harper ($35) and Albies ($18) decide to take the week off, that’s OK because Quinn is coming at you with Riley ($15), JRod ($10), Tatis ($36), & Lindor ($20). Maybe Vladdy ($24 - franchise tagged) will join in on the fun too if he can regain the magic he had in 2021. Batters aside, Quinn holds one of the filthiest pitchers in the league in Mr. Strider ($12). Quinn has never made it to the semi finals in TEA but he is looking to change that in 2024 in a big way.

KIRBY'S DREAMLAND
Morgan
Falling just short in 2023 (2nd place), Morgan is looking to get back to the dance in 2024 for his shot at glory. After compiling a team full of controllable players in 2023, Morgan kept all but 4 players entering the 2024 auction. With a team that came so close in 2023, Morgan is hoping that his team can repeat in 2024.
